I used the Timeless Tulips stamp set from the January – June 2020 mini catalog and a technique called masking to create this bouquet.
To start out, I stamped a template to help me determine which stamp to use in which spot. This is crucial since you want the blossoms to look like they overlap. As a result they need to be stamped in a particular order.
After I stamped the images, I coded the blossoms with numbers from 1-3 plus the ink I wanted to use for each one.
Before the blossoms can be stamped, you need to create your masks. Stamp the blossoms on a piece of sticky note paper and then Cut them out.

Now you are ready to stamp.

First you need to stamp the blossoms labeled 1 as they will be in the forefront of the bouquet. The you cover them with the masks of the same size. Now you are ready to stamp the blossoms labeled 2. Repeat the process and stamp the last set of blossoms. Now stamp the stems and any leaves as you like. Remove the masks when you are done stamping.
I completed the card by adding a bow and a tag. The white card stock was then glued onto a sheet of red (same as the bow) and then onto a green card for a layered, complimenting border.
Materials used:
- Timeless Tulips stamp set
- matching inks (So Saffron, Grapefruit Grove, Poppy Parade, Real Red)
- Granny Apple Green for the stems
- one sheet each of white, orange/red, green card stock
- decorative elements such as bow and label
- double sided tape and pop up dots.
